Now Hiring · Capital Region Math

Help kids finally get math.

We're looking for patient, enthusiastic people who love math and want to make a real difference — not just grade papers or prep lessons. At Mathnasium, you show up, teach, and watch kids transform.

Why Work at Mathnasium?

This isn't a typical tutoring gig. Here's what makes it different.

You See the Moment It Clicks

There's nothing like the look on a kid's face when something that seemed impossible suddenly makes sense. That happens here, regularly.

📚

No Prep. No Grading. Just Teaching.

We provide everything — curriculum, materials, and a proven method. You come in, follow the structure, and focus entirely on the student in front of you.

🕐

Hours That Work Around Your Life

Afternoons, evenings, and Saturday mornings — designed to fit around school, another job, or a busy schedule. Minimum two consistent shifts per week.

🏫

Paid Training From Day One

You don't need a teaching degree or prior tutoring experience. We train you in the Mathnasium Method — the same approach used in 1,000+ centers worldwide.

👥

A Team That Has Your Back

Our centers are locally owned and run. You're not a number in a staffing app — you work alongside a small, close-knit team that genuinely cares.

📈

Room to Grow

Many of our Lead Instructors started as part-time tutors. If you want more responsibility, more hours, or a path toward center management, we invest in people who show up.

Who thrives here

  • College students in math, education, engineering, or STEM fields
  • Recent grads exploring education before committing to a career path
  • Teachers looking for a meaningful part-time role
  • Anyone who was "the math person" and wants to put that to use
  • People who are patient, encouraging, and good with kids or teens

You don't need to be a teacher.

We're not hiring people to run a classroom. We're looking for people who understand math, genuinely enjoy helping others, and can follow a proven structure.

If you're comfortable with math through pre-algebra (for our K–8 roles) or through Algebra II (for our 6–12 roles), you already meet the bar. We'll train you on everything else.
